How to Join
We believe that membership is a big deal. Because we take membership into a local church seriously every potential member must attend a "Discover NorthStar" dinner. This is an informal time for every potential member to get acquainted with the heart and mission of our church. This is also a great time for our church to get acquainted with you and your family.
You can join our church in three ways:
(1) Profession of Faith in Christ - Although we believe that salvation is not dependent upon baptism, we still require everyone who places his or her faith in Christ to be baptized before we welcome them into church membership. Baptism is significant because one must obey Christ’s command that every Christian publicly identifies with Him.
(2) Statement of Faith- If you have already placed your faith in Christ and have been biblically baptized, we welcome your inquiry into church membership.
(3) Transfer of Membership- If you have already placed your faith in Christ and followed through in believer’s baptism, we welcome your inquiry into church membership based upon your member-in-good-standing status from another church of like faith.
